My favorite newspaper published an article today about firefly, the sweet tea flavored vodka, and it’s now on the top of “must-get” list. I’ve already called some fellow North Carolinians and asked them to send a bottle to San Francisco. I would love to have a Nalgene full of it for Outside Lands.

Of course it would be easier to make my own sweet tea + vodka drink, but that’s a drink and not sweet tea vodka on the rocks, you know?

How should I enjoy my first bottle? Obvious options are:

1. With Lemonade.
2. On the Rocks.
3. With Cheerwine (? – might actually work well). BevMo here I come.
4. With homemade sweet tea. I know. Overload, but I am not one to have too much sweet tea.
5. ____________

I don’t know why there aren’t more southern food restaurants in San Francisco*, but of the few places I know in the city I hope the ones with a liquor license will start to carry Firefly.

UPDATE: Apparently their slogan is “Put Some South in Your Mouth.” awesome.

*because the ones that are here are always crowded and seem to be doing great business.
